MyCarerHub — home

From getting started to following through.

Set up your household and placements, find what needs attention, and build useful records as care happens. This walkthrough shows the intended everyday workflow. MyCarerHub is in development; the trial guide identifies what is available in each release.

01

Set up your household and placements.

Begin with who is in your care and the arrangements supporting them.

  1. Your household

Record carer details and the people who support your household.

  2. Each placement

Add the child or young person, the care arrangement and important dates.

  3. The essential details

Record key contacts, authorities and documents, including anything still to obtain.

A starting point you can build on.

Shared details can be reused in relevant records. Information that is missing at setup can be added as it becomes available.

As care arrangements change, update the relevant records, keeping temporary stays distinct from the underlying placement.

02

Start with your overview.

Check upcoming commitments and matters needing attention, then open the item you want to work on.

Use the details already recorded.

Select existing people and shared information where available. Historical entries retain the context of the event or decision they describe.

04

Turn information into follow-up.

Give the next step a clear owner and date, then return to record progress and the outcome.

  1. Record

Keep the relevant event, conversation or concern.

  2. Action

Identify the next step, responsible person and due date.

  3. Follow-up

Review progress and record the response or update.

  4. Outcome

Record what was resolved and any further action.

A cycle you return to as care continues.

An outcome may lead to another action or review. Recording and follow-up remain part of everyday use after the initial setup.

05

Prepare information to share.

Use the records you have built to prepare a clear account, then review it before it leaves your care workspace.

  1. Choose the scope.Select the child or household, report type and relevant period.
  2. Prepare the report.Bring together the relevant information and supporting history.
  3. Review before sharing.Check accuracy, relevance and who should receive the information.
  4. Use the supported output.Export or prepare sharing through the workflow available in your release.

Review the content and intended recipient

Sharing is a deliberate step.

Restricted carer administration and advocacy records stay outside routine reports and handovers unless deliberately selected through an authorised review.

Help shape a more useful MyCarerHub.

We are preparing a trial with ten participants: foster and kinship carers and child safety sector employees. Practical feedback will help us improve everyday workflows before a wider release.
